Arne Svendsen started Arne Svendsen Trucking Inc. over forty years ago back in 1975 when he was only 16 years old. His first truck was a 1964 International that he paid $3200 for. He purchased his first new truck subsequently three years later, a White Western Star. In 1983 Arne graduated from WWU with a degree in Business after working himself through college with his truck hauling business. His plan was to sell his small business and enter the corporate world.
Arne sent out some resumes and was interviewed and offered a job working for the Penske Corporation in Manhattan Beach, California. He turned that job down and decided he actually preferred working for himself.
Today Arne Svendsen Trucking's list of equipment features 12 yard dump trucks and trailers to double the load up to 24 yards as well as a smaller 5 yard truck for smaller deliveries and tighter quarters. And also a transfer truck for special situations that do arise. We also offer road, driveway and parking lot grading services.
